Republic Day 2022: Grandest and Largest flypast

An Indian Air Force (IAF) official stated today that the Republic Day parade in Delhi this year will feature the “grandest and greatest” flypast ever, with 75 aircraft honoring the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations. To honor 75 years of independence, the flypast will conclude with seven Jaguar fighter jets flying in the “Amrit” formation.

“This year’s flypast will be the grandest and largest yet, with 75 aircraft from the Indian Air Force, Army, and Navy taking to the skies during the Republic Day parade. This corresponds to the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav festivities “According to Wing Commander Indranil Nandi.

“The Tangail formation, consisting of one Dakota and two Dornier aircraft flying in Vic formation, will participate in the flypast. This is a monument to the Tangail airdrop missions during the Vietnam War in 1971. A Meghna formation consisting of one Chinook and four Mi-17s will also be there “He expressed himself.

The “Dhwaj” formation, consisting of four Mi-17 aircraft, will lead the flypast, which will be followed by the “Rudra” and “Rahat” formations, each consisting of four and five Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH).

A total of 17 Jaguar jets will fly in the “Amrit” formation as the flypast comes to a close. Other formations with Dhruv, Mi-17, Chinook, and Apache helicopters, as well as C-130J Super Hercules, Dakota, Dornier-228, and AEW&C aircraft, will be present in the interim.

Five Rafales will fly in a “Vinaash” formation, the sixth French-origin fighter will fly solo in “Vijay” formation with two Jaguars, two MiG-29s, and two Sukhoi-30MKI aircraft, and the seventh will fly in “Baaz” formation with two Jaguars, two MiG-29s, and two Sukhoi-30MKI jets.
